Soothing circle drawing for busy moms: Discover a simple, calming art exercise to relieve stress and find peace. Perfect for your mental well-being.

As moms, our days can often feel overwhelming and chaotic. Taking a moment for yourself with a simple, calming activity can make a big difference. Today, I want to share an easy drawing exercise that not only helps to channel frustration but also brings a sense of calm through repetitive circular movements.

Why This Exercise is Good for Your Mental Health:

Channeling Frustration: The repetitive motion of drawing circles helps to channel feelings of frustration and pent-up energy. It provides a physical outlet for these emotions, helping you to release tension.

Calming Circular Movements: The act of going over the circles multiple times is inherently soothing. Circular motions are known to have a calming effect on the mind, reducing stress and promoting relaxation.

Mindfulness and Focus: Focusing on drawing and decorating the circles encourages mindfulness. It brings your attention to the present moment, allowing you to temporarily set aside worries and stressors.

Personal Expression: Adding colors and patterns to your circles is a form of creative expression. It’s a chance to let your individuality shine through and create something uniquely yours, which can be incredibly fulfilling and boost your mood.

Easy and Accessible: This exercise is simple and requires minimal supplies, making it easy to fit into your busy mom’s schedule. You can do it anywhere, anytime you need a quick break and some mental relief.

Have fun with this simple soothing circle drawing exercise! Please let me know if you’ve tried it; I would love to see it.

Instructions for this soothing circle drawing exercise:

Step 1: Draw your first row of soothing circles by going over them multiple times.

Step 1 – Start drawing circles

Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you can sit and relax for a few minutes. Gather your supplies and take a few deep breaths to center yourself.

Begin by drawing a circle on your paper. But here’s the twist: go over the circle multiple times with your pen, creating a loose, multi-lined circle. It doesn’t have to be perfect—in fact, the beauty is in the imperfection.

Draw another circle next to the first one, again going over it several times. Continue this process until you have a row of circles.

Step 2: Fill your whole page with rows of soothing circles

Step 2 – Fill your page

Start a new row beneath the first one, repeating the process of drawing circles until your entire page is filled with these layered, imperfect circles.

Step 3: Add colors and decorations to your soothing circles

Step 3 – Add color and patterns

Now, take a moment to look at your page. Pick a few circles randomly and fill them with color, patterns, or little dots on the lines. Use whatever colors and designs speak to you. This part is all about personal expression and adding a playful element to your creation.

Taking a few minutes out of your day for creative self-care can make a significant impact on your overall well-being. This circle drawing exercise is a perfect way to start. It’s quick, easy, and a great reminder that you deserve a moment of calm amidst the chaos.

Give it a try, and see how these simple circles can transform your mood and help you feel more centered and relaxed.
