Circle doodle exercise

A simple doodling exercise, which will make you think of circular things to doodle and help you focus on the task at hand. It will serve as a wonderful distraction from all the other thoughts circling (no pun intended) around in your head.

Supplies used:

Sheet of paper, circle maker, fineliner and colored pencils.

Alternative supply suggestions:

You can use any scrap of paper that you have lying around, such as the margins of a newspaper, a magazine, the back of a grocery list. A pencil or a regular pen is fine as well. If you want to add colours, just use what you have (crayons, water colour, markers) or use a pencil to add various shades of grey. A lot of random things can be used to draw a circle, like a roll of tape or a shotglass. If you having nothing cicular, just freehand the circles. This exercise is not about drawing perfect circles, but to let your mind make creative connections between things that are circular and doodling them.

Instructions:

1. Draw some circles.
2. Try to think of as many circular things as possible.
3. Now doodle these things in your circles.
4. Add some colour (optional)
