Supplies for the calming creative connections exercise

Supplies used:

Bristol paper (Winsor & Newton), alcohol markers (ohuhu), fineliner 0,3 and 0,1 (Ohuhu).

You can use any material for this exercise, such as colored pencils, crayons, or a pencil. 

Instructions:

Step 1: randomly place dots on your page.

Before you start, slowly breathe in and out a few times to clear your head and ground yourself. 

Start by placing random dots on your page. You can scatter them across the entire surface or focus on a specific area. Don’t worry about the arrangement or pattern; simply let your hand guide you intuitively.

Step 2: Connect the dots in any way you like.

Now comes the exciting part—connect the dots! Use your artistic intuition to decide how you want to connect them. You can use straight lines, curved strokes, or a combination of both. There are no right or wrong choices here; let your creativity flow freely.

As you connect the dots, allow shapes to emerge. You can choose to create individual shapes by connecting a few dots or connect all the dots to form a larger composition. Experiment with different possibilities and let your imagination guide you.
