Alternative supply suggestions:
You can use any supplies you have: colored pencils, crayons, markers, watercolors, or just a simple pen or pencil, etc.
Instructions for this quick flower drawing:
Step 1 – Draw the stems and curved lines
If possible, find a quiet corner where you won’t be disturbed for a while. Lay out your supplies and take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
Start by drawing simple vertical lines for the stems of your flowers. Vary the heights of the stems to create a more natural look.
Draw smaller curved lines at the top of each stem radiating outwards in a semi-circle shape. Vary the lengths of these lines to add interest and depth.
Step 2 – Add the seeds
On top of each curved line, draw a tiny dot to represent the seeds. These dots give the flowers a whimsical, airy feel.
Step 3 – Draw more flowers
Continue drawing more flowers with varying heights and shapes. Repeat the process of drawing stems, curved lines, and dots to fill your page.
Step 4 – Add blades of grass
Using a green pen or pencil, draw simple blades of grass at the base of your flowers. These can be quick, vertical strokes to add a bit of greenery to your drawing.
Remember, the goal isn’t to create a perfect piece of art but to enjoy the process. Let go of any perfectionism and allow yourself to simply play with the shapes and lines.
